Summer’s heat is here in full force, which makes me want to be as far away from the stove as possible. Summer salads are a great way to use up all the wonderful produce that's available now. Add some herbs, some fresh fruit or berries, some nuts - and, of course, some cheese!
What’s your favorite cheese to put in a salad?
Also, I’d love to hear about any other cheeses you love - whether in a salad or by themselves!

Roquefort for sure with Parmesan shavings running a very close second.
ReplyDeleteactually the cheese I use most frequently in a summer salad is ricotta salata
ReplyDeleteI agree with both of the previous comments. I also love bocconcini (small fresh mozzarella).
ReplyDeleteWhew. That was difficult.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't list gorganzola!
ReplyDeleteI love feta - but mozzarella would've been my top choice - so fresh and light!
ReplyDeletethis was hard! I am a fan of several kind of cheeses
ReplyDeleteDepends. Thank you for sharing. Cheers !
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm.........cheese! As I state on my profile, I could exist on cheese. Gorgonzola is one of my favorites....but a creamy Brie is wonderful with a crisp glass of white wine; aged Italian cheeses.....Smoked Gouda....oh, I could go on!
ReplyDeleteGoat cheese--but in the summer when the greens are fabulous feta is a close second.
