Happy New Year!
January 1, 2010 is just a few days away, and with the new year comes a host of new resolutions. For many of us, these resolutions are the same every year - we all pledge to eat better and exercise more. Some of us will experiment with vegetarianism, others will swear off candy forever - eventually we all renege on our lofty ambitions. Little Scarlet doesn’t really set New Year’s Resolutions per se, it’s more of a To-Do List full of foods to try, restaurants to visit, and trends to experiment with. For 2010, Little Scarlet just wants to dine better, more often, and remember to write about it!
Since so many New Year’s Resolutions involve eliminating various foods, 2009’s final “Poll of the Week” wants to know, what do you want to eat more of in 2010?

Well, since the vegetarianism experiment failed, my pre-new year's resolution was to eat meat like a normal person.
ReplyDeleteI voted for more meals from foreign countries though I easily could have voted for several of the others, too. Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to strive to patronize local, home-grown, organic, sole proprietors. Small biz farmers, growers, purveyors, cooks, and bakers are the salt of the Earth! You'll miss them when they're gone.
ReplyDeleteI voted for home-cooked meals. I only eat out once a week or so as it is, but you can never have too much of a good thing. Maybe my husband will resolve to take up cooking this year for those days when I end up getting lazy and ordering a pizza... sigh... I can always dream.
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to eat as many plain lobsters as it takes to produce a massive attack of the gout...
ReplyDeleteMeals from my favorite local places have the comfortable familiarity of a home-cooked meal without the labor!
